The box comprises a carton which is formed of a base and walls with a folding lid from a single piece of cardboard cut to a triangular, non-uniform pentagonal, hexagonal, or uniform octagonal base-shape. The cardboard box is cut from a single piece of material and folded to form a especially a food-container without any further cuts into the carton. The lid (2) section fully covers and fits around the rim of the carton to enclose the space between the carton walls and base (1) section.
