The use of one or more alpha blocker compounds, e.g. moxisylyte and/or derivatives or metabolites thereof such as deacetyl moxisylyte (DAM) or monodemethyl deacetyl moxisylyte (MDAM), for treating erectile dysfunction in mammals, particularly humans, by transmucosal delivery via the glans penis, is disclosed.
