The invention concerns a hub and a rotor head for a rotary wing aircraft, comprising a top plate (1) and a bottom plate (4) forming two separate pieces mutually assembled by the insertion of external frames (14) of said spherical stops (8), such that said plates (3, 4) are distant from each other delimiting between them a space in which are housed said spherical stops (8), said external frames (14) being arranged at the periphery of said plates and run through by fixing means (5) mutually integrating said plates (3, 4) and said spherical stops (8).
