The invention relates to a process and the associated device for automatically measuring, simultaneously and at a high rate of the distance, the speed and the deviation with respect to a theoretical trajectory of a projectile equipped with a reflector, characterized by the fact that the projectile is slaved to a pulsed laser beam passing through two deflectors automatic acousto - optic crossed. The method comprises the following succession of steps: a - scanning of the field of measurement by the laser beam, b - reflection of a laser pulse when the laser beam encounters the projectile, c - determination of the edges of the beam, the centring of the beam on the projectile, d - repetition of step c according to the displacement of the projectile.
