A radio communication device comprises a display screen (2), a keyboard with keys (3, 4, 5A, 5B, 5C), a first memory provided for temporarily recording a succession of characters (SM) received by radio communication and a processor programmed to operate with the keys of the keyboard, the first memory and the display screen in order to display on the screen said succession of characters received by radio communication. The processor is further programmed to switch, by at least one key press, from a screen display of the succession of characters recorded in the first memory to a screen display of data entry in structured form to be recorded in a second memory with a presentation, in this data entry screen, of said succession of characters recorded in the first memory in order to process at least part of this succession of characters as data to be recorded in structured form in the second memory.
