The box (10) is used for arranging layers of identical containers (3). Each container is shaped as a polygon with an upper flat face (4) that has a handle (5) and a neck (6) protruding from it, and a lower face (7) with a cavity formed in it to accommodate the handle and neck of the identical container stacked above. The box is made up from a number of rectangular side walls (11,12,13,14,15) with a cover (17) and a base (18). The cover and base are arranged to rest on the upper and lower faces respectively of the containers when they are arranged in the box. The cover and base have apertures (19,20) formed in them through which can pass the handles or necks of the containers arranged below the cover or base.
