The package is formed from a single flat blank piece forming four external sides (1,2,3,4) of the same width, with a further internal reinforcing side (5) that is narrower. The package is assembled using self locking tabs (9) inserted into slots (11) arranged along the foldline of the reinforcing side. Each end of the package is closed using a closure flap (6) with a self locking retaining tab (7) and two auxiliary flaps (15), one of which is extended by a folding tab (16) that prevents the closure flap and auxiliary flaps from penetrating inside the package and coming into contact with its contents.
