Six figure to eight figure day month year date conversion method for year two thousand transition

The method has the following stages: - read the imaginary date day/month/year (DDMMYY) recorded in a file; - extract the imaginary two month figures (MM) from the date; - read from a table of values a two figure real month value (MONTH)and a real four figure year value (YN9) corresponding to the imaginary month (MM); - display on a screen or printer the real eight figure date by displaying the day (DD), real month (MONTH) and real year (YN9). The real month (MONTH) and year values (YN9) are obtained from the imaginary month (MM) and year (YY) values as follows: if MM = 01 to 12; then YN9 = 1900 + YY, and MONTH = MM if MM = 13 to 24; then YN9 = 2000 + YY, and MONTH = MM - 12 if MM = 25 to 36; then YN9 = 2100 + YY, and MONTH = MM - 24 if MM = 37 to 48; then YN9 = 2200 + YY, and MONTH = MM - 36 if MM = 49 to 60; then YN9 = 2300 + YY, and MONTH = MM - 48 if MM = 61 to 72; then YN9 = 2400 + YY, and MONTH = MM - 60 if MM = 73 to 84; then YN9 = 2500 + YY, and MONTH = MM - 72 if MM = 85 to 96; then YN9 = 2600 + YY, and MONTH = MM - 84.
