The unit is designed to use available intermittent energy, e.g. from the wind, to maintain the development of an endothermic chemical reaction and then release the energy to a consumer, provoking an inverse exothermic chemical reaction. It consists of a receptacle assembly (c) containing a series of sub-receptacles (rs) holding the products that take part in the reactions, the necessary elements to obtain the desired chemical reactions, and thermal exchange grids for supplying or recuperating energy passing through sleeves (g).
