A decorated glass-ceramic plate suitable as a cooktop, comprises a glass-ceramic plate and a decoration on the surface of the plate. The decoration comprises a vitrified glass frit containing 10 - 35 wt.% pigments. The plate has a low coefficient of thermal expansion between !0.0000015 K-1, at 20 - 700 deg C. The decorated glass-ceramic plate has a modulus of rupture of at least 120 MPa. Independent claims are included for: (a) a method of decorating a glass-ceramic plate; and (b) an enamel for (a).
