The publicity and advertising unit is a roll of paper, fabric or plastics which has to be unrolled to keep reading the message. The roll is fitted into a display unit (3) of plastics, cardboard or wood, to be held at the ends to rotate round its axis. It is pulled out against return springs, and a release (5) gives an automatic rewinding action.
