The warning device is powered by a battery and consists of an electronic sound generator, loudspeaker, and actuating switch in an assembly which can be incorporated in, or clipped onto, an item of clothing such as sports wear. A visible warning using LEDs may also be included and the sound generator produces sufficient volume for the warning to be audible at a range of several meters.
