A user terminal (20) which can store data transmitted to it in a RAM, receives information over the Internet which is transmitted as primary and secondary data. At the terminal, the primary data is forwarded to the display unit (207), while the secondary data, which includes additional related information which the user may also wish to consult, is stored so as to be immediately available if required. The categories of primary and secondary data are determined by the server. Independent claims are included for a server applying the method of the invention, and for a method of implementing such a server.
