The wooden wall for a swimming pool has the beams (4) laid horizontally and held together by threaded rods (17) extending through them between a lower anchor (18) and an upper retainer held by a nut (20). The rods have elastic inserts (23) to allow variation in length to compensate for movement of the wooden beams du to climatic conditions.
