The invention concerns a method which consists in: a) providing an iron oxide Fe2O3 and a compound A, and in mixing them, with a molar ratio n = Fe2O3/A; b) forming said mixture and calcining it in an oven; c) grinding said calcined agglomerates to obtain a fine ferrite powder. The method is characterised in that it consists in: 1) forming said mixture with a ratio n ranging between 5.7 and 6.1, and with a predetermined degree of homogeneity; 2) grinding said mixture; 3) introducing into said mixture, before or during the grinding process, an agent controlling the microstructure.
