Device for luminous sign posting of power lines, comprising luminescent tube with one electrode connected to power line and other to conducting envelope

Device comprises a luminescent tube (1) with one electrode (2) connected by wire (3) to the power line (4), and the other electrode (5) connected by wire (6) to an auxiliary conductor (C) mounted near the power line, but electrically insulated from the line and the ground. The auxiliary conductor is in the form of an envelope (E) round pipe section of the power line, and is mechanically supported by insulator elements (8) in the form of e.g. sleeves or muffs made of plastic material. The luminescent tube (1) is suspended on the power line (4) by elements (7), or in the second embodiment on the envelope (E). The envelope is of cylindrical form, and can be made of a metallic sheet (9) wound to form a cylinder coaxial to a section of the power line (4). In a variant the envelope is made of a metallic tube wound to form a helix coaxial to a section of the power line, with the step of helix equal to the diameter of the tube, so the windings are adjoining. In another variant the envelope is in the form of a sphere carved of plastic material and with its interior surface metallized. In the case of power line comprising several conductors in parallel, a device is installed on each conductor, or on one of the conductors including the luminescent tube, and the conducting envelope on at least one of the other conductors. The power line also includes a lightning conductor for protection connected to the ground and positioned near the conductors, and the conducting envelope is installed on the protection conductor having the same potential. The envelope on one of the conductors without the luminescent tube and/or on the protection conductor is spherical and of diameter greater than 60 cm.
