Process involves over-molding insert into magnesium alloy component by injection of magnesium alloy in pasty state during molding of component, in order to prevent re-melting of the insert. The insert, intended to surround the component to be connected, is made from an alloy less corrodible than the magnesium alloy and of galvanic potential close to that of the magnesium alloy.
