Continuous casting mold is made up of a cooled tubular metal element (6) of multi-angular shape defining the shape and cut of the cast product and in which the molten metal (7) solidifies in contact with the cooled inner wall (11). The cooled tubular element is surmounted by a non-cooled hot top (5) of thermo-insulating refractory material defining a reserve of the molten metal to be solidified. An injection slot (18) for a shearing fluid following the inner periphery is arranged between the cooled metal element (6) and the hot top. The mold is provided with a device (17) to reduce the flow rate of the shearing fluid into the mold angles, preferably formed by obstructing elements.
