The large screen image projection mechanism has a source of light and a video image modulated video image. The light and modulation impinges onto a vertical sweep mirror driven by a sweep mechanism (700). The laser light focuses onto a first relay lens (320) and parallel rays pass to a second relay focussing lens (310) with a longer focal length. The light focuses onto a rotating polygonal mirror (800) providing the laser light horizontal sweep.
