The instrument has an active diamond surface (1) with variable granularity, large grain for preparation, fine grain for polishing. The instrument has a graduated plane part (2) which is smooth and therefore non irritable. A connector part has a hole in it through which a water spray is fed so as to evacuate debris and to cool the instrument. The connector part has a shape forming an ultrasonic hand grip similar to current devices.
