The glass pane or door panel (11) is held in a frame with a wooden frame member (1) facing inward and a metal frame member (4) facing outward. The plastics frame member (3) lies in contact with the wooden frame member and has fastening projections (2) engaging in grooves in the wood. Projecting parts (6,9) engage with the metal frame with minimum areas of contact. The fixed frame has a similar arrangement and holds an elastic seal (12).
