Interlacing method for coding and decoding of turbo codes of binary symbols representing a physical magnitude using two convolute recursive coders having polynomial divisor with same data period
The interlacing method is used in a coding system with at least two convolute recursive coders having respectively a polynomial divisor having a same data period or in a corresponding decoding system. The method has the following operations: - write binary symbols into a table having a first number of columns, equal to the period of the coders, and a second number of lines; - carry out first permutations of the symbols in each column; - and carry out second permutations of the columns between them, the second permutation conserving the zero return properties of the coders. The first permutations are deduced from the others by passing from one column to the following, by modulo shift of the second number (M). Other means of deducing the first permutations are given. An Independent claim is included for an interlacing device.
