The assembly, designed to make up an armchair or sofa frame, consists of two L-shaped end panels (1) with feet (12), joined together by threaded rods (24, 25, 26, 27) passing through bars (20, 21, 23) and holes (14, 15) in the panels before being fixed by nuts (28). A separate L-shaped panel (5) with a vertical front member (50) and a horizontal upper member (51) forms each arm rest and is fitted with a padded roll (57). One arm rest panel is fitted to each side of an armchair or a two-seat or three-seat sofa, with an appropriate number of seat and back components between them.
