Stamping method on product (1) made of spongy material includes : (a) placing product between sonotrode (3) and stamp (4) with imprint (9); (b) regulating gap between stamp and sonotrode; (c) pressing locally on product; (d) applying appropriate ultrasonic energy to sonotrode; and (e) transmitting energy to product so as to fix indentation (2) in zone (Z). Independent claims are also included for (a) stamping apparatus, and for (b) new finished product.
