The timing device has a housing with a front face on which are situated frames displaying the chosen event. its start date and the time remaining until the start of the event, as well as related inscriptions. The device has on other faces of the housing an alphabetical keyboard as well as control buttons controlling operation of the calculator and an time advance mechanism. Inside the housing is the calculator and the time display advance mechanism.
