PURPOSE: To provide the method for inoculating an additive into the molten metal of an Al alloy capable of increasing the yield and uniform dispersibility of P in the molten metal of an Al alloy. ;CONSTITUTION: This method is characterized, at the time of inoculating an additive into the molten metal of an Al allay, by subjecting Cu-P alloy grains to heating and reducing treatment in a nonoxidizing atmosphere or executing heat treatment to soften them, thereafter forming them into plate like grains or subjecting them to annealing treatment in a nonoxidizing atmosphere and subsequently forming them into plate-like grains, and after that, adding the grains into the molten metal of an Al alloy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
