PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the corrosion in the inner wall of a feeding line and to improve the treating capacity of a wet desulfurizer in the wet desulfurizer arranged in sulfuric acid manufacturing equipment having a converter and an absorber by atomizing an alkali added water solution into a waste gas in the feeding line to the absorber. SOLUTION: A wet desulfurizer is installed in sulfuric acid manufacturing equipment having a converter 8 and an absorber 11. Within a feeding line 14 to an absorber 13 for a waste gas after being brought in contact with sulfuric acid, spray nozzles 31ii for atomizing an alkali added water solution into the waste gas are installed. Then, a alkali added water solution atomizing liquid 32 atomized from this and the waste gas are brought in countercurrent contact with each other. After the atomized alkali added water solution absorbs SOx , it is discharged from the inside of the feeding line 14 and after it is cooled by a cooler 35, it is recovered in an alkali added water solution recovery/storage tank 33. After a deposit of reaction products such as sodium sulfate is removed there, the solution is circulated and fed to the spray nozzles 31ii again by a feed pump 37.
