PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a girder to be supported in all horizontal directions in a cushioning condition without restricting the deformation of an elastic supporting body longitudinally or laterally even if a strong earthquake acts on it. ;SOLUTION: This supporting device is provided with an elastic supporting body between a lower supporting member fixed to a lower structure and an upper supporting member fixed to an upper structure. In this case, a retaining member 6 is provided on the lower supporting member or on a lower plate 18 fixed to the lower supporting member in a detachable manner. The upper supporting member or an upper plate 39 fixed to the upper supporting member is provided with a retaining member inserting recess having a gap 56 into which the retaining member 6 can be inserted. A stopper 9 is intervened in a gap 56 in a detachable manner with the elastic supporting body in a pre-shear deformed condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
