PURPOSE: To obtain a compact combined treatment purification tank which can mini mize a site area for installation and ensures high economic treatment efficiency by splitting the longitudinal interior of the tank, providing an opening which communicates with the interior of the split tank and using one half of the interior as a sedimentation/ separation chamber and the other half as a depth layer aeration chamber. ;CONSTITUTION: This upright combined treatment purification tank consists of the halves, of a split tank 1 interior, which are formed by installing a concentric spiral wall 2 with a cylindrical shaft across the entire length, excepting both upper and lower ends, of the interior of a vertically long cylindrical tank 1 with the top and the bottom hermetically sealed. In addition, an opening 7 which communicates with the interior of the split tank 1 is provided between the lower end and the bottom wall of the spiral wall 2. Further, one half of the split tank 1 interior is used as a first chamber 3 which is a sedimentation/separation chamber, while the other half is used as a second chamber 4 which is a depth layer aeration chamber. Under this constitution, the tank 1 uses the spirally descending and ascending stream of a liquid to be treated basically, so that the liquid becomes well mixed with the realization of high separation/aeration effects and the economic and highly efficient treatment of contaminated water is achieved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
