PURPOSE: To enhance a peeling-off property and the wear-resistance by forming a film over the outer surface of a roll with the use of a paint in which globular microparticle alumina is blended in a polymer containing specific fluorine and silicon, at a specific rate. ;CONSTITUTION: A polymer containing a copolymerized fluorine containing monomer which can be seized and hardened at a temperature below secondary transition point (Tg) of resin constituting a composite material, fluorine copolymerized with copolymerizable vinyl group monomer and silicon is prepared. The surface of a roll is covered with a paint in which globular microparticle alumina is blended with the polymer at a ratio of 1:5 to 5:1. Further, the surface of the roll is preferably covered thereover with a pain in which no globular alumina is blended. Accordingly, the covering films are integrally formed thereby it is possible to manufacture a composite material roll having excellent peel-off ability and wear-resistance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
