PURPOSE: To provide a polymer composition having a high gas (oxygen, especially) barrier performance, and having the high barrier performance even after a retort process, a film formed of this polymer composition, and a method of packaging food with film package such as pouch. ;CONSTITUTION: The polymer composition including a polyvinylidene chloride- methylacrylate without substantially including ethylene vinyl acetate, and the film formed of this polymer are provided. By forming film package using this film, and packaging food, gas (oxygen, especially) will not penetrate even after retort processing, thereby the food can be safely stored.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
