PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for non-destructive test of a heat resistant metal which can be applied to the heat resistant metal and can inspect the reduction in the strength of a material without leaving any mark on parts. ;CONSTITUTION: A contact part 4 with a pair of probes 2 with different temperatures is provided, the contact part 4 is allowed to contact a measuring part 1a where the strength of a heat resistant metal 1 is reduced and a reference part 1b where the intensity is not reduced, thermoelectromotive force between the pair of probes 2 is measured by a measuring part 6, and then the reduction in the strength of the measuring part is calculated from the ratio of two thermoelectromotive forces measured by an operation part 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
