PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply an electronic chart/radar imae display to a radar device by eliminating the need for adding image processing within the radar display and the need for remodeling an existing radar device. ;SOLUTION: An image processor 41 reads electronic chart image data from a stage 42 according to a ship position signal and outputs a control signal S9 according to measurement data. A communication input processor 51 creates control signals S13-S15 and S23 according to a control signal S9 and an azimuth signal from a gyro 3. A display form transformer 52 circles a radar signal by the signal S13 and further transforms the radar signal to the form of a parallel line by a running line form transformer 53. Further, a required part is extracted based on a signal S14 by a display range processor 54 and mask processing is performed according to the signal S15 by a mask processor 55. The image data are stored at an image data storage 56 along with the signal S23 and the radar image data and electronic chart image data are composited by an image compositing processor 58 before being displayed on a display 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
