PURPOSE: To manufacture a miniature production facility and make handling or the like simple. CONSTITUTION: A housing member of radioactive material are one (basket) 12 in which spent fuel and the radioactive material such as high level radioactive waste are housed, and provided with a support frame body having a plurality of uranium-made shield bodies 12c and a support part supporting these shield bodies 12c. The outside shape of each shield body 12c is formed of the shape in accordance with that of the support part, for instance, a wire, a rod, a block or a pellet, a cylindrical body, a prism body or the like. In a housing vessel 10 the housing member 12 of the radioactive material is disposed in the vessel body 13 for housing the radioactive material.
