To provide a potato plant (GHTP) to indicate low level or (GLTP) (57) of [summary] potato tubers α-glucan L- type tuber phosphorylase α-glucan phosphorylase H- type tubers. Conversion of sugar to starch in potato tubers with reduced enzyme activity or GHTP GLTP is reduced when stored at temperatures below 7 ℃ in particular. Low temperature of potato by storage at a lower temperature - an increase of sweetness-induced decreases, the extension of the results dormancy period, a decrease in the incidence of disease, and possible long-term of the retention period. I also provides a process for the preparation of potato plants producing tubers with reduced enzyme activity or GHTP GLTP. Decrease of GHTP or activity GLTP of potato tubers was decreased activity and affinity of starch suppression of gene expression by homologous antisense RNA, co-suppression, control of silencing sequence, or use, of a protein inhibitor chemicals and I can be achieved by techniques such as isolation of selective allele or site-directed mutagenesis for GHTP mutant or gain GLTP.
