PURPOSE: To provide a method for deodorizing offensive odor generated at the time of using with a simple structure in a relatively small-sized plastic refuse treating apparatus in which a volume of the structure can be reduced with the simple structure and a simple operation with plastic refuse to be used for a packing material, a packaging material, etc., generated in a general home, a store, a small-scale business place, etc., as objects to be treated. ;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus having a treating space 2 for containing, heating and volume-reducing plastic refuse comprises a blower 9 for collecting offensive odor gas generated during refuse treating and flowing from the space 2 to an exterior together with the air in the vicinity, and a deodorizer (active charcoal) 10 provided at a downstream side of an air channel formed in the apparatus, wherein the gas fed from the space is externally discharged through the deodorizer 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
