PURPOSE: To provide a handrail and a rising training bed equipped with the handrail, so as to eliminate the risk of extruding from a bed, etc., when it is laid down in the accommodated condition. CONSTITUTION: The arm shaft 10a on the base end side is supported rotatably on a handrail 10 in the condition that the shaft 10a is inserted through a supporting cylinder 12 on the bed side. A projection 15 is furnished at the periphery of arm shaft to be inserted through the supporting cylinder, and a groove for location 16 to be detained with the projection is provided at the bore of the supporting cylinder in such a way as extending backward in the axial direction till the specified depth from one end of the supporting cylinder, and an energizing member 20 to energize the arm shaft in the cylinder axial direction is furnished between the arm shaft and cylinder so as to fit the projection in the groove for location. A longitudinal groove 17 in which the projection is to be fitted, is provided at the bore of the cylinder in a position elsewhere than the groove for location in such a way as extending further backward than the groove for location.
