PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently perform electric discharge machining in which roughing by the use of a normal working fluid and finishing by the use of a power-mixed working fluid are switchedly repeated, and even in the case of using power-mixed fluid in the finishing, to minimize the amount of used power by making it easy to clean a working vessel for the roughing after the finishing.;SOLUTION: After the roughing is performed by the use of the normal working fluid, the finishing is performed while a minimum required amount of power- mixed fluid is being injected to the working vessel as being filled with the normal fluid so as to substantially fill a working gap. In the next roughing, a mixture of the normal fluid and the power-mixed fluid is filtered, and the normal fluid thus obtained is recirculated and supplied to the working vessel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
