PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent curl of the document front end, and reduce a driving load by intermittently driving an actuating lever installed on a rotary shaft of a driving roller through a one-way clutch, by a cam. ;SOLUTION: A one-way clutch 56 transmits driving force so that a rotary shaft 451 of a driving roller 45 rotates in the arrow direction when an actuating lever 57 is actuated in the arrow direction, but does not transmit the driving force to the rotary shaft 451 of the driving roller 45 when the actuating lever 57 is actuated in the opposite direction of the arrow direction. On the other hand, since a cam 55 has an elliptic circular cam surface 551, when a separating roller 41 rotates once, the actuating lever 57 swings twice. Therefore, the rotary shaft 451 of the driving roller 45 connected to the actuating lever 57 through the one-way clutch 56, intermittently rotates in the arrow direction. Therefore, a separating belt 47 is intermittenly actuated in the arrow direction, and intermittenly changes a contact surface with a separating roller 43.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
