PURPOSE: To transmit the ultrasonic waves to an optional place in terms of a spot by preventing the leakage of the ultrasonic waves to the outside gas or liquid and reducing the influence of an external environment and the attenuation. ;CONSTITUTION: A vibrator 12 is provided on an end face 10a of a quartz glass rod 10 which transmits the ultrasonic waves. The outer circumferential surface 10b of the rod 10 is covered with a protective member 14 made of a material having the Young's modulus higher than the quartz glass. Furthermore the outer circumferential surface 14a of the member 14 is coated by a protective film 16 made of a material that has the durability to an external environment.
