PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for setting and automatically adjusting the cable tractive force of an overhead winch for a ski slope development/maintenance machine.;SOLUTION: This device for setting and automatically adjusting the cable tractive force of the overhead wince for the ski slope development/maintenance machine is provided with an adjustment control unit connected to a controllable winch drive device and a processing device connected to a plurality of sensors and the adjustment control unit. The sensors are pressure sensors having maximum values and detecting the pressured applied to selective valves 16, 20. The valves are connected between the output ducts 6, 8 of the drive device on the right side and left side of the first moving direction or the opposite moving direction. The processing device incorporates the algorithm calculating apparent values based on the pressures obtained by the pressure sensors and controlling the winch operation through the adjustment control unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
