PURPOSE: To improve a brick winding-up operation at an upper half part of a kiln by a method wherein a boggie constituting a brick winding-up device is of a self-running one. ;CONSTITUTION: A boggie comprising a base plate 3, legs 4, reinforcing members 5, wheels 6, a motor and a motor operating means is assembled as a rigid integral structure outside a kiln and further constructed as a self-running boggie having a brick transporting vehicle passage 10 between the right and left legs 4 below the base plate 3. Due to this fact, after one brick ring 1 is wound up, platforms 31 and 32 acting as working tables of the boggie and a brick pressing device 9 are accurately positioned under a driving of the motor for a subsequent brick ring 1 for its winding-up operation and further it can be moved to a subsequent position. With such an arrangement, an efficiency in winding-up of brick at an upper half part of the kiln can be improved and a safety in working operation can be improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
