PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect the photographing interference to a monitor camera and to cope with the interference. ;SOLUTION: This method is composed of a first monitor device 1 transmitting the still image of the monitoring object photographed by a monitor camera 6 as the compressed image data ad consisting of a CPU 1, a ROM 2, a RAM 3, an arithmetic processor 4, a frame memory 5 and a communication control part 7, and a second monitoring device 2 receiving the image data from the first monitoring device 1 which is inputted via a communication line 8, performing an extension processing, restoring the image data to the still image of a monitoring object, displaying the image and monitoring the image, and consisting of a CPU 11, a ROM 12, a RAM 13, an arithmetic processor 14, a frame memory 15, a display device 16, a communication control part 17 and an alarm device 18. When that the data quantity of the image data to which the image photographed by the monitor camera 6 in the first monitoring device 1 is compressed is reduced than the threshold of preliminarily set data quantity is detected, the occurrence of an abnormality in the photographing by the monitor camera 6 is displayed and an alarm is shown on the second monitoring device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
