PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flow meter which can be easily customized and is of a small power consumption by using a fluidic oscillator wherein flow rate and frequency of output pulses are in a proportional relation substantially expressed by a specific equation. ;SOLUTION: Relation between gas flow rate Q per predetermined time of a fluidic oscillator and the number of pulses (f) of fluid oscillation generated in a fluidic oscillator E satisfies an equation of Q=af (where (a) denotes a proportional constant). A frequency-dividing counting means 2a starts counting the number of pulses of a sensor by a timer signal input from a timer signaling means 1 and outputs a frequency divide signal every constant number (k). A second counting means 2b starts counting the number of pulses of the sensor by the timer signal input and outputs the remainder (m) of the counted pulses (f) to the constant number (k) with a subsequent timer signal input. Thus all calculation of flow rates in an arithmetic means 3 need not be performed at a time thereby allowing an arithmetic means with a lower power consumption to be selected without using a high performance arithmetic means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
