PURPOSE: To improve workability by allowing the easy confirmation of the position of a defect in a whole workpiece, even when the workpiece is large. ;CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a workpiece retaining jig 2 to hold a workpiece W and a photographing device 3 arranged in such state as capable of relative travel. Also, the device has a block photographing control section 11 for causing the jig 2 to travel by the preset amount of unit and further causing the device 3 to photograph the workpiece W according to the prescribed block unit. Furthermore, this device is provided with a defective position identification section 12 for identifying the existence of a defect, and the position thereof on the basis of the data of the image of each block photographed with the device 3, as well as a display control section 15 for indicating a defective position identified with the section 12 on a display device 8 in such state as superposed on the overall image of the workpiece W.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
