PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recording film provided with a high vertical anisotropy to be used as sufficient vertical magnetization characteristics in practical use in a state that the film is manufactured without needing such a complicated method of manufacturing a film as a method of manufacturing an artificial lattice structure and moreover, has optical magnetic characteristics suitable for utilization at a region of a wavelength shorter than that of the present region, a magnetic recording medium provided with a recording layer having such characteristics as the above vertical magnetization characteristics and optical magnetic characteristics and an optical magnetic recording medium. ;CONSTITUTION: A magnetic recording film is a cobalt(Co)-platinum(Pt)-rhenium(Re) ternary alloy film, its composition is CoaPtbRec and is set on the conditions of a ≤75, 5≤b≤45, 5≤c, 40≤4a-5c and a+b+c=100 (where the compositional ratio of a:b:c is a compositional ratio which is shown by an atomic %.) and the film has an axis of easy magnetization in the direction vertical to the film surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
