PURPOSE:To perform operation even when excessive force is applied to a bearing by dividing the interior of the lower bearing box in an evaporator into two parts to form a bearing part and a seal mechanism part and allowing to supply the optimum lubricating liquid to the respective divided parts. CONSTITUTION:The roll bearing received in a bearing part 18 receives the force applied to the lower end of a stirring shaft in the radius direction but, since it is lubricated by the optimum lubricant, the roll bearing can be smoothly rotated. The seal mechanisms 10, 11 received in a seal mechanism part 17 are lubricated by the optimum lubricant considered in the lubricity of the seal mechanisms 10, 11 with due regard to the slight leakage toward the interior of the evaporator or the bearing part 18. Therefore, sealing function can be developed without accelerating the deterioration of a product or that of the bearing lubricant. Since the roller bearing can be used as the bearing in the evaporator, a centrifugal thin film evaporator capable of treating the liquid applying large force to the bearing can be manufactured.
