PURPOSE: To provide a steel pipe concrete post which is easy to connect and high in strength by making longer the upper end of each of reinforcement cages than a steel pipe, and making smaller the outside diameter of one end of the reinforcement cases than the inside diameter of the other end. ;CONSTITUTION: A cylinder-shaped reinforcement cage 2 is prepared with a plurality of vertical members 3 in parallel along the peripheral surface and ring-shaped members 4 connected at a plurality positions in the longitudinal direction of the vertical members 3 inside a steel pipe 1 The reinforcement cage 2 is arranged to project by a specified length from the upper end of the steel pipe 2 so that the inside diameter of the projected part of the cage from the steel pipe 2 may be smaller than the inside diameter of the cage housed in the steel pipe 2. When a steel concrete pipe is to be connected, a reinforcement cage 2A is preliminarily inserted into a steel pipe 1A located below so that it may be laid out at a specified position. Then, the lower end of a steel pipe 1B, into which a reinforcement cage 2B is preliminarily inserted, is placed on top of the projected part of the reinforcement case 2A of the lower steel pipe 1A, thereby connecting the steel pipe 1A to the steel pipe 2B by welding. After having connected the steel pipes where the reinforcement cases 2 have been set to a specified height one after another, concrete is placed into the steel pipe 1, thereby forming a steel pipe concrete post at a specified height.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
