PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a firm aluminum alloy sheet for emboss working used for building material such as siding material and coated sheet thereof, in which cracks are harldly generated at the time of embossing while satisfying the required thinning in wall thickness.;SOLUTION: The claim item 1: an aluminum alloy sheet for emboss forming consisting of a soft material having a composition containing 1.2 t 2.1% Mg, in which the content of Si is prescribed to ≤0.3%, and Fe to ≤0.3%, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities and having the average crystal grain size of ≤60 μm. The claim item 2: an aluminum alloy sheet for emboss forming having a composition containing one or more kinds selected from 0.06 to 0.3% Cu, 0.06 to 0.3% Mn and 0.06 to 0.3% Cr in addition to the above each component.
