PURPOSE: To measure the temperature of a molten metal continuously without exchanging work. ;CONSTITUTION: This is a temperature measuring device which consists of a tubular holder 2 composed to install a cap 3 made of a having a through hole at the tip a consumable metal pipe-covered optical fiber 1 inserted to the tubular holder 2 and the cap 3 made of a refractory, and soaked in a molten metal, and an optical fiber feeding means 4 to deliver the consumable metal pipe- covered optical fiber 1 into the molten metal. Consequently, the temperature of the molten metal can be measured efficiently, and the measuring cost is made low.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
